Black Dragons Analyst
A rather inexperienced but nonetheless skilled analyst, Ling Pho-Smith is a
powerful asset to her boss Ichirin Endo in the Black Dragons. Graduating from
a small private university that is largely funded covertly by the
ultra-conservative organization, Ling was brought up by her family and
professors specifically for the role she now plays. She was also groomed from
even earlier on during her childhood years. Her family and those friends which
had been selected for her instilled in Ling an obsession with her native Draconis
Combine. This obsession eventually led to young Ling’s fanatical devotion to
her homeland.
Ling has served with Ichirin for the past 5 years. During this time she has come
to be more than a regular analyst, and evidence seems to suggest the two
share more than a simple professional bond. Ling has come to seek Ichirin’s
dependence on her abilities; her quest for his attention was probably an
important intended effect of her parents’ careful socialization of Ling.
While Ling holds a high-ranking position in her department – that of top advisor
in addition to her analyst role – she herself lacks many of the violent qualities of
her fellow analysts. The Strider’s Strikers Intelligence Corps believes this may
be especially important to her role in the Black Dragons. It may interfere with
her ability to function smoothly – a major blow to the otherwise cold and
calculating portion of the Black Dragons that Ichirin holds control of.
