    Ex-Knight of the Inner Sphere

Sir Christopher Steiner was always a loyal friend.  Even as Sir Owen Hardcastle
was removed from his position in the Knights of the Inner Sphere, Christopher
offered what little help he could.  Refusing to bring his friend down with him,
Owen would not accept help or reveal the truth behind his discharge from the
Knights.  The Wasat exodus of Hardcastle left the two friends in a rather
confusing state.  Owen had refused to reveal his situation to Christopher, while
Christopher had constantly insisted he do so.
After joining the Strikers and successfully rescuing Melissa Fox, Owen
acknowledged his secret downfall as a cover up for the Blakist attack on the
Knights of the Inner Sphere.  When the news of Hardcastle went public within
the Irece Prefecture of the Draconis Combine, Owen contacted Christopher with
the entire truth.  He also offered Christopher an apology, urging him not to plea
with Knights officials on the case.  Learning of such a conspiracy within the
ranks of the Knights, Christopher left immediately.  He piloted his 90 ton
Cyclops, "the Storm", while in service of the Strikers.  Sir Christopher fought
alongside lancemates Sir Owen, Ted Conrad, and Daryl Zero.
During the Blakist attacks in 3065, Christopher earned an impressive number of
kills during night raids against the Blakists.  He was known to have been among
the most wanted on the Blakists list of targets.  Christopher was capable in the
role of commander and he often took on this position when Owen was
preoccupied with more urgent matters during emergency situations.
Christopher was killed during the firebombing of the Strikers barracks in 3068.
He was neither able to reach the safety of a ground bunker nor board his Mech
before the Blakists dropped firebombs into the barracks buildings.  His abilities
have been recognized posthumously with his promotion to Star Commander
among the Nova Cats.  He was widely admired by most of the Nova Cat
members of the unit for his honorable actions in battle.
