    Head of Base Security

Mural Rye-Del was an accomplished security agent of the Free Rasalhague
Republic.  His retirement after 45 years of work came as no real surprise, but
his acceptance when asked to work for the Strikers did surprise many.  Mural
was an accomplished tactician.  His methods were those of careful plans and
multiple options.  Mural’s most notable accomplishment was his work for the
Darkoor Company, a large business firm on Unst.  His carefully planned escort
of a lostech datachip from Darkoor’s main office to the Seminez Research
laboratory saved the company from public intervention and an attack by expert
thieves.  Though Mural was quite active in his position at the Strider’s Strikers,
he found he had much free time on his hands.  He had been trained to pilot
BattleMechs by Lamont Sanford.  Though his piloting skill left much to be
desired, Mural enjoyed operating a BattleMech.  His Urbanmech was often be
seen mulling about the Strikers’ base on afternoons and evenings every week.
Mural joined his lancemates Sarah Smythe and ‘Birdie’ Sunnman in a suicide
effort to save their lance’s leader, scientist and inventor Rocky Potts.  Potts
was able to board the Dropship just before taking off, though the Panther Mech
had suffered critical hits that destroyed most of its weapons systems by that
time.  Mural had engineered Rocky’s escape, a last minute strategy devised
when the lance learned of the Blakist attack that was headed for their temporary
    outpost.
Mural’s plans had lead the enemy into thinking that he himself was Rocky, as he
piloted the scientist’s own Sentinel Mech.  He had made himself the target in a
last-minute gamble, but the plan had worked.  Mural, Sarah, and ‘Birdie’ cut into
their attackers with everything they had, but only minutes after the Blakists
arrived, all three Striker pilots were dead.
