    Retired Blakist Sleeper Agent

Dipher Sif Zenthien is a retired agent of the Word of Blake’s faction of ROM.
Dipher spent the early years of his career learning the basics of Mech combat
as a member of his native Atreus’s militia force.  He was introduced to the Word
of Blake following after several years at Comstar, during which he’d been
serving as a combat operations strategic advisor.  Dipher was keen to learn
more of the Blakist faction’s ideals, and he was among the many who helped
plan the schism during which the Word of Blake was formally founded.
Dipher was rewarded with his loyalty in an unusual way.  Rather than openly
show his intentions, his superiors within the Blakist network pushed him to play
the part of a sleeper agent.  He quickly realized the significance of such a job
and was honored to accept the responsibility.  Continuing to openly support
Comstar, he become one of hundreds of spies to gather information for the
Blakists.  Much of this data dealt with technical and logistical aspects of
    Comstar’s latest breakthrough technologies.
Dipher’s service brought him further responsibilities.  He was asked to sabotage
training exercises and disrupt relationships within his assigned unit.  He was
especially effective in promoting distrust amongst his company’s Mechwarriors
and technicians;  he had all of them questioning one another’s loyalty to
    Comstar.
With continued success and several sabotage missions under his belt, Dipher
was finally granted the highest responsibilities he would hold during his service
with ROM.  He was given targets and successfully assassinated a company
commander and a series of logistical experts.  He accomplished much of this
with poisons of different types, but his first kill had been orchestrated to
change him forever.  He was pushed to kill his first target with only a small
bladed weapon.  Even more shocking was his personal relationship to the
target.  She had been his commander and a close companion less than a year
    before the hit.
Dipher’s latest assignment was the Vampire’s Fangs mercenaries.  He has
officially retired as an agent of ROM, though some of his fellow Fangs’ pilots
believe he still reports on the unit’s progress.  Dipher pilots a 40-ton Strider.
The Mech was obtained via the Blakists’ allies within the Black Dragons.
Dipher is an exceptional pilot and a key member in the Fangs.  None trust him
completely due to his past career.  He enjoys piloting Mechs and will probably
stay with the Fangs for as long as it satisfies his sense of service to the Word
    of Blake.
