Adam – Creator of The Crusaders
Adam is a major fan of the Inner Sphere. He likes the Mechs and he likes the characters and culture of the Inner Sphere. Adam was into BattleTech before joining our group. He had played Mechwarrior 4 and read many of the novels in the BattleTech storyline.
Adam is big on history and knows a good chunk of it. He enjoys strategy games of all types and often plays games based on historical events such as Civilization and Age of Empires. He has a lot of inspiration from such knowledge and it no doubt culminated in his creation of The Crusaders mercenary unit. Many of the characters share names with Knights of the Templar. The actual religious Order is also mimicked by the fictional mercenary team being composed of Knights of the Inner Sphere.
Adam’s favorite Mechs include the Grand Crusader, the Whitworth, the Cerberus, and the Black Knight.
His main characters include Alec de Payens, Tom Rooster Brown, Marc Bevan, Alfred Trebuchet, and Rotislav Hanwright. The whole team he created with Mike in Japan have become an important ally of Strider’s Strikers and have a campaign of their own as well.
Adam loves more bang for his buck, and he’s always ready to stomp the baddies into the ground. He doesn’t mind facing incredible odds in a fight. He is a great player of the tabletop Classic BattleTech game, using strategy and concentration to overcome his enemies. He’s also excellent at concentrating on moving the game along, rather than dragging it out like most average players tend to do by getting off-topic.
Thank you Adam for all your ideas and enthusiasm. We hope to join you again someday in playing BT regularly!
