Scientist/Informant
The Denouncement sect within the Word of Blake was originally founded by
Stanletta Tweedle. However Stanletta had used more than a single ally to aid
her in giving the organization a start. Several dozen of her more powerful
associates funded the organization’s own research and development projects.
These projects were the core of the Denouncement; the organization limited
membership to only those scientists and technicians on the edge of major
breakthroughs.
Tyler Parker has long been a scientist in such a position. He was originally a
hard-working Comstar acolyte, but grew tired of the ancient group’s devotion to
tradition and etiquette. Tyler found the Word of Blake more welcoming when
Comstar split, even despite it being the more religious of the two. He soon
found his way into the Denouncement’s inner circle, constantly encouraged to
donate his time and research toward the small group’s goals.
Tyler seems a rather average contributor to the organization: a dreamer and a
scientifically brilliant mind. However his eyes hide a deep secret that few have
discovered. He is actually a sort of reckless loner who is neither loyal to the
Word of Blake nor the Denouncement. Though he claims his true loyalty lies
with the Denouncement, Tyler has leaked information to other outside groups in
the hopes of causing conflict.
Tyler has never been paid for his reliable tips regarding either organization, but
he has grown addicted to the danger he has found himself in by acting as a
rogue. If he continues to behave in such a way, it is likely one or more
intelligence groups will discover his true nature and betray him to his superiors.
Though the SSIC has learned he was responsible for some of the data they
have obtained through standard intelligence procedures, they have done
nothing to bring harm to the man. His guilty pleasure of toying with both the
Word of Blake and the Denouncement has allied him in a minor way to the
Strider`s Strikers cause.
